THROUGH the LOOKING GLASS

February 26th - March 8th 2025

The BLANC Art Space, 15 East 40th Street, New York City

In Through the Looking Glass, ten international artists explore concepts surrounding shifting and altered perspectives of the familiar and known. Whether parsing the nuances of a transitional moment, investigating the interdependence of disparate disciplines, or examining the coexistence of parallel universes, each artist’s exploration expands perception and deepens curiosity.

Viewers are invited to revisit familiar entities, such as the tale of Gulliver’s Travels, and known cityscapes, such as London’s Trafalgar Square, each filtered through varied lenses. Constructs such as the collapse of time, and technological, or fantastical overlays add multifaceted nuance where concepts transform and ideas expand - and more than one thing can be true at once.

“It isn't just about stepping into a fantastical world, it's about a journey of transformation and understanding that occurs when we dare to cross the threshold between what is known and what lies beyond”
