Through profound upheaval, uncertainty, and change, we have witnessed the strength of the human spirit, the resilience of communities, and the enduring power of creativity. In the face of crises, art is a source of solace, strength, and solidarity.

As we move forward into 2025, we are seeking artists from around the world to reflect on, respond to, and celebrate the theme of Resilience. This Open Call challenges artists to explore what resilience means today and to consider what it takes to survive and thrive in an age where uncertainty is the norm. How do we draw upon our inner strength, collective wisdom, and shared humanity to overcome adversity?

We invite you to interpret Resilience as a concept that spans multiple dimensions.

Possible Areas of Exploration might include:

• Personal Resilience & Healing: How do we rebuild after loss or trauma? What role does art play in the healing process? How do we transform pain into a source of power?

• Cultural & Social Resilience: How do communities preserve their identities, traditions, and values amid globalization and conflict? How can art sustain cultural memory and foster social solidarity?

• Environmental Resilience: In a time of climate change, how do we reimagine our relationship with nature? What does it mean to create art that both reflects and advocates for the preservation of our planet?

• Technological Resilience: How can we harness technology to adapt and grow while maintaining our humanity? What stories emerge from the intersection of human creativity and digital innovation?

• Resilience in Speculative Futures: Imagine a future where humans have overcome current crises. What does that world look like? How do we find hope in the face of the unknown?
